Laundry On A Weekday

Posted on

One of the advantages of working from home is that you can be flexible with what you do. You can juggle both office work and household chores if you wish.

Just like what happened this afternoon. When the internet connection went down, we decided to go out and do the laundry. Yes, laundry on a weekday also helps us get good running water as opposed to doing it on weekends when everyone is doing their own laundry and water distribution service is running low. This also helps us to be both productive while waiting for the internet connection to be back so we can continue our work.

What about you? Have you tried doing laundry on  a weekday? How was it?

When saving money to pay for mortgage, the first thing is to make a monthly budget. Second, stick to that budget and avoid unnecessary expenditures. Repurposing Grocery Bags

Posted on

Little things add up, even when it comes to using the grocery bags at home. I seldom purchase those black trash bags because I reuse my grocery bags to line my trash bins and coral my unwanted items. I also use this to hold cans, bottles and other items to recycle as well.

I believe that doing this will help us save a lot. A pack of large black trash bags usually cost P80.00 good for three weeks. I don’t want to do the math here, but I know that a year’s supply will be equivalent to a month’s energy bill. Isn’t this a good motivation to repurpose your grocery bags?

Clearing Shelves On A Weekend

Posted on

Having no internet on a weekend leaves me with options to (still) be productive.

Just like what happened last weekend. There were times when the internet connection went off. Instead of dozing off while waiting for it to go back, I hit the shelves in our home office room and leave each one empty. I did remove all the unwanted, unused, uninteresting items straight to the trash. :) Quite a bold move, but I am inspired to do all these cleaning tasks after I watched the show Hoarders on TLC.

I’m not done yet with all the cleaning though. I still have to see the rest of the cabinets and shelves at home. What’s important is that I am doing my best to have a clean house, one step at a time.
