'Happy Chat' with Plurker Moms

Posted on

Before, I seldom use Plurk because I really am busy with my schedule in the call center doing call center training.

Now, little by little, I am learning to strike a balance and manage more of my online time as soon as I’m out of the office. :) As soon as I arrive home from work, I immediately login and assign some time to interact more with other people online, like my fellow bloggers. And as a bonus, I get to meet some interesting plurker WAHM moms today.

I can say that I had a good plurk n chat time with them. :) I am learning a lot of things on how to make money online, aside from what I am currently doing to help increase our wedding funds, pay for the equity of our townhouse in St. Monique Valais and save some to pay for the rent to own house near my parent’s pad here in Cainta.

I feel so comfortable chatting with them that I forgot that I have to hit the sack at noon. :) I made a promise to feature them on my future post. I will make a list of these cool plurker moms so you can understand why I feel so happy chatting with them. :)

Change of Priority

Does your priority change when you already have a baby?

I was surprised to know that my colleague already tendered her resignation last month. I knew her to be very driven in her profession but she told me that she needed to give it all up for her baby.

She will transfer to another company but she opted to go back and work as a call center agent instead. Even if the country manager convinced her to consider the training position, she politely turned down the offer.

“If I’ll go back in call center and be an agent, then I’ll have more time for the baby” Jas said. “All I need to do is logout and I can immediately go home after the shift.”

I admire her more because of her selfless love for the baby. I’m thinking of doing the same thing, maybe try to be a WAHM so I can take care of the baby as well.

How’s blogging?

I just had a conversation with my cousin whose been married for almost six years. She asked me of my wedding plans but I told her that we’re still saving money for it. She told me that’s the best thing to do (well aside from being emotionally prepared for it) because a lot of couples are challenged to manage their finances especially on their first few years of marriage.

How’s blogging?

The thought of being a WAHM in the future excites and scares me at the same time. I wanted to manage the household, but I still want to earn enough for myself and my future family’s needs as well.

I got so curious on finding some good WAHM sites online and here’s what I got from Alexa.

Note: I visited the top WAHM sites on the list and here’s a short description of what makes these WAHM sites interesting (for me):

1. WAHM.com

Interesting because of WAHM directories. You can search for WAHMs in your area. You also have the option to add your business to the list, just fill out an online form and you’re all set.

2. Bizymoms

Interesting because of Bizy Moms Toolbar and Scam Free Job Bank. These features will be a great help especially for newbie WAHMs.

3. Working Mothers

Interesting because of the Featured Marketplace. Members and guests can submit their listings while you have the option to register first if you’re yet a member.

4. Freelance Moms

Interesting because of the Home Tools to get more information on how to start being a WAHM.

5. Mompreneurs Online

Interesting because of its wide Media exposure. They were even featured on Time Magazine.
