A friend, who I haven’t talked to for more than six months already, suddenly buzzed me while I was online using Yahoo! Messenger. After the usual pleasantries or greetings, we kept on asking each other on what is the latest with our lives. I wasn’t surprised that he’s still working for the same organization that he joined about 8 years ago. He’s still going strong, he said, even though the pay’s not that high and he kept on meeting hard-to-please people.
I simply told him that whatever works for someone, it might be the best thing for him. Like his job.
Then after a few more minutes of chatting, he asked if I’m already married. I answered, “Not yet. But I will be before this year ends”. I am that optimistic.
Although there wasn’t anything really productive about our chat, I still enjoyed it especially with the thought that a few months from now, I will be sporting a new last name. That alone excites me most.
