I woke up today to a very saddening news. President Corazon Aquino has passed away at 3:18am today, August 1.
She is just a few of the well-known people that I truly admire. She’s a martyr, a leader of the people, a good mother, and also a saint who helped unite the Philippines during times of displeasure and lack of trust to the government. In a way, she prevented anarchy and restored democracy to our nation.
I am among the millions of Filipinos worldwide who will be taking a moment to say a little prayer to one of the greatest women who ever lived.
