Early this morning, my boyfriend gassed up our car and we noticed that the price of the premium gas we regularly buy have gone up by at least one peso. I guess that’s the expected results when that EO-something was finally removed last Monday. And I’ve heard more increases will be coming.
So where’s the gas shortage that the Department of Energy have reported? There have been reports that gas tankers have gone back to their normal schedule. Could it be they were just waiting till this EO thing was lifted, so as to create a pseudo-oil supply crisis? If that’s true, that’s one of the most horrible things I’ve ever heard of.
With the increase in gas prices I expect that prices of basic commodities will soon increase as well. Almost everything is depended on the price of petroleum products. As long as goods are delivered on oil-ran vehicles, it will stay that way.
