TV ads of politicians, that is. Why? Because they all have one message: that they will solve poverty. I mean, who can solve poverty? Even the United States, the richest and most powerful country in the world, also has poverty within its borders. No country can completely eradicate poverty. Lessen it, yes that is possible. But completely remove it from our midst? I doubt it.
I just hope that our candidates for the various government elected positions would just spend their campaign funds in informing the public about their achievements and what they can do should they be elected.
But please, leave out all of these delusions that they are the country’s savior. What we need is someone who will lead us, not save us because no one man can do that. Only the Lord can do that and even His work is not yet done after thousands of years.
I know what I am wishing here is impossible because what I am asking for is honesty from people who wouldn’t normally show it. Or worse, even possess it.
